The Régie des marchés agricoles et alimentaires du Québec is a government organization in charge of the Loi sur la mise en marché des produits agricoles, alimentaires et de la pêche. Its purpose is to encourage effective and organized marketing of agricultural and food products, ensure the development of harmonious relations between various players, provide for resolution of issues that may arise in production and marketing of products, while maintaining the interests of consumers and the protection of public interest. It acts as an economic policy organization and an administrative tribunal.
