Sales agency

Maple syrup producers have decided to centralize all sale of bulk maple syrup within the framework of their joint plan. The marketing agreement makes it mandatory for all producers to deliver their product to authorized buyers or directly to the Federation’s warehouses.

Companies wishing to purchase maple syrup in large containers must address the Federation. The marketing agreement describes the process involved in the purchase of bulk maple syrup and the conditions that a company must satisfy in order to become an authorized buyer.

The Federation does not bottle or market maple syrup for the retail market. It sells bulk maple syrup to certified bottling and processing companies, which in turn deal with food retailers and/or export the maple syrup.

The FPAQ is involved in the generic promotion of maple syrup on behalf of the entire maple syrup industry in Quebec.
